7.245KHZ nearly every day. Join the fun and check in with the group. Just watch out for Willy, W5PFT and his Sewer Rat!
Well folks, here it is, the complete Drake "C" line up and running great. I am having more fun with this than any other rig I have restored lately. I finally got rid of all the National, Heath gear, and the Galaxy GT-550. Now I am looking for a Drake TR-4C. It may go out to the shop, or next to my bed. Just haven't decided yet.
It finally happened! I now have the L4-B and a very nice MN-2000 antenna tuner. I got too much flak using an MFJ tuner, so just had to replace it with the Drake tuner. At least for now, I will run the complete Drake station. I get great results with this arrangement.
By the way, I can be found on 3.922khz. at night. This is a frequency where a bunch of the local boys meet and just rag chew till the wee hours of the night. During the days, a lot of us can be found on 7245khz. Check in, your'e always welcome on "22" or "45".
To those who know me and my wife, it's with a sad heart that I must inform you that my dear XYL Charleen, passed away on 22 October, 2004. She had been through over two years of pain and suffering, including the loss of her left leg, but now is in a far better place, with no more of all the pain and suffering. I will remain here in Arkansas for the time being. We have a lot of very good friends here, and most are looking out for me.
